I've had students in the art room for a week now. I'm trying to get them warmed up, and accustomed to the art room routine. Our numbers shot up this year, and we have a lot of new students. I'm so excited to meet the new ones, and see how the students that I've had in the past years are growing and progressing. Seeing their personalities develop is such a cool thing. This year, we have a Chihuly exhibit in Nashville, so there is a big focus on his work. I'm working out projects that are appropriate for each grade level, and am planning to "install" them in our school in Oct. for what MNPS is declaring Chihuly Week! (The last week of October). I'll post pics and plans as they develop.
