So, in my previous post, I talked about the Volunteer Villages, and my intent to have my students participate. Things I learned- Small= Cute! We have gradually made our houses smaller, because they are easier to finish, and oh, so cute. Also- I began by having students cut out doors and windows. Now, I show them both how to draw them on, and how to add them with scraps, and I let them choose. They are choosing to draw windows, and add doors, and interestingly, some are pro-chimney, some are anti-chimney. Who knew.
