By using the same type method used for creating clay rattles (minus the rattles inside) my 4th graders and I were able to create very effective "Ikebana" shapes. While waiting for the kiln to fire (which is a story in itself- Thanks Mr. E!) we made "flowers" out of water bottles, pipe cleaners, cellophane shreds and acrylic paint. We then arranged our creations, adding in a few extra pipe cleaners for volume.
